1. He caught a break eventually after he ran into an executive producer on a big-time show.
2. He caught a break when selectors chose him for the Sri Lanka Tour.
3. After failing for many years, finally he caught a break when he went to audition for the new Netflix Show.

Can't catch a break - failing constantly, always fail, nothing ever works out.
